Tony and I went to the Rose Garden today and it was so spectacular! This is the best time of year to go and today was perfect weather for it! All the roses are in full bloom in the month of June and there are so many beautiful colors. The garden looks out over Portland so it has a great view too!! We enjoyed walking the trails, practicing our photography skills...and stopping to smell the roses...
Kristen had no idea this was coming! It was nice to see her so surprised!! Congrats to Brian & Kristen on baby number two!! We had a great time at the shower...little did Kristen know that she would have some special entertainment at this baby shower...a "Cupcake Eating Challenge" was unfolding right before her eyes, a challenge which had to be taken. Somehow a cupcake eating challenge was started...I'd say I had nothing to do with this but we all know I love a good challenge. The rules were clear: Eat as many cupcakes as you can before the party is over, if you drink any beverage or throw up you're disqualified. Simple Enough. After 3 cupcakes Bunch got a DQ when he had to consume a beverage. When Anna was on her 6th cupcake and I was on my 7th I had a sudden gag reflex and thought I was going down...Anna became excited and thought she could catch me...she made it to 7 cupcakes...I made it to 8.25!!! "Grand Cupcake Eating Champion!!"
It all started with these unsuspecting victims...
So...Tony's friend Nate just graduated to become a doctor. On Saturday we went to his graduation party, which was a "sophisticated" family & friends event...I proceeded to pull a VERY FUNNY trick on Tony. I came out wearing a very "sophisticated" outfit and pretended that it was what I would be wearing to the graduation party in front of the new doctor and his entire family. Tony did a really good job biting his tongue, but the "Popular When Drunk" belly shirt really threw him for a speechless loop!! 
He also looked a bit worried when I was bending over to do my make-up in the bathroom mirror and my entire butt was hanging out of my mini skirt, I could see him trying to figure out how to tell me I could not wear this outfit!!
When I finally told him I was not wearing this to the party a huge wave of relief swept over him and he laughed, the look on his face the whole time was priceless...I'm glad he has a good sense of humor!
On Father's day Anna and I went to Portland and walked in the "Portland Pride Parade" to show support for the GLBT community and the rights of all people, we can all make the choice to accept others. People who came were Pround to be Gay, Proud to be Open, Proud to be Accepting, Proud to be themselves, I'm Proud to be a Friend and Ally. What a wonderful day to show support for all people. I met Mark Parker for the first time, "Proud To Be C.E.O" of Nike, a work place proud to be accepting.
Tony was making eggs for breakfast this morning and lightning struck a 110 foot tall Douglas Fir tree about 20 feet away from our house! The bolt completely demolished the tree and damaged three houses after which it killed a bbq. WOW!! Nothing like a visit from "Mother Nature" to wake you up! What an exciting Monday morning! 
Tony and I had the WONDERFUL chance to see John Mayer in concert. This show was AMAZING! My friend Anna and David Ryan Harris got us the best tickets in the house! THIS WAS THE BEST CONCERT I'VE EVER SEEN!! If you ever have the chance to see John Mayer I highly reccomend it, guitar and vocals were SUPERB Thanks x INFINITY to Anna & David, we had a great time!!
