Snow Day!

Today many people in our area took a snow day. Almost all the schools were closed as it snowed a large part of the day yesterday and then froze last night. This morning all the city roads were pretty icy and I have a big hill between me and work so I decided to take a snow day too!

Trey Trey turns one!

My nephew Trey turned one last weekend! I've never seen so many people at a little person's birthday party. My sister threw him a "Super Hero" themed party and it was really cute. My whole family was there and it was great to see all of them. Having a baby in the family makes everyone have an excuse to get together more often and I LOVE it!

Day 3 of "Halloweek" The Tooth Fairy...

Meet Tootheena T. Nocavitee aka The Tooth Fairy. On Halloween she spread tooth brushes, dental floss and mouth wash all over the world in hopes of saving some sparkly white teeth from the evil cavity. This costume was my final on Halloween and it was an idea I had a while back. I was trying to find the perfect Tooth Fairy dress when I suddenly realized my wedding dress was it! I won "Honorable Mention" in the "Most Creative Costume" category, yay!

Day 2 of "Halloweek" Marge Simpson...

This was Tony's favorite costume this year, he thought it was pretty funny. I must admit that this one was the most fun to make and people instantly recognized me as the famous Marge Simpson. I think the hair gave it away! Many people I work with saw my hair coming before they actually saw me and were able to guess what I was, it was a great time!

Day 1 of "Halloweek" Amy Winehouse...

First of all, I don't know how someone who smokes and drinks so much can get her eyeliner to look so good. Today was the first day of 3 costumes for "Halloweek" and Amy Winehouse was a good way to start out! I had this idea a couple months ago and thought it would be a great costume. When I googled "Amy Winehouse Costume" a million people came up who had dressed like her, go figure! I've also heard Cindy Crawford is dressing up like her this year, great minds think alike!

The "Plumper" Pumpkin Patch...

Tony and I went to the pumpkin patch today with our friends Eran and Jen and their son Noah. The weather was perfect for pumpkin picking! Apparently we weren't the only ones who thought so because the place was very busy with lots of festive families!

Scavenger Hunt Pub Crawl...

Saturday night was my sister's birthday party and she had a two-team Scavenger Hunt Pub Crawl. Each team had 4 pages of things they had to go find at numerous bars in the Tri-Cities. Examples were "Picture of a bar stool" and "Dedicate and sing a karaoke song to the birthday girl" for numerous values of points. Our team ended up winning the competition by two points!!

Sunriver In September...

Our friends Spencer and Monica were married this weekend in Sunriver. The weather was so beautiful and warm that this outdoor wedding was destined to be great! Spencer and Monica are originally from central Oregon but now live in Montana. They decided to marry right on the river, under a gorgeous Mt. Bachelor backdrop.

Women All Over...

Will recognize these as "I'm watching football, don't bother me" warning stances. Don't get me wrong, there are many more and they come in a variation of relaxed looking states of mind. Do not be fooled!! A man interrupted while striking one of these poses is likely to attack unsuspectingly. Approach with extreme caution and bring food as a distraction if you must bother him in his natural habitat.

The Human Race 10K...

On 8.31.2008 people from around the world gathered together in race cities and in areas where they just wanted to be a part of history to run in the world's largest running event. I ran in Beaverton for my brother Brandon "Bran The Man" while he ran the same race hours later in New York. This was a pretty cool idea and a spectacular event, I can't wait to see all the official results!
